Ingredients

  • 8 ounces chicken breakfast sausage
  • ¼ cup diced white onion
  • 1 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter melted
  • 20 ounces hash browns
  • salt and pepper
  • 8 slices American cheese

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 350℉.
  • Dice the breakfast sausage into ½ inch pieces.
  • In a large bowl, combine the breakfast sausage, white onion, green bell pepper, hash browns, salt and pepper. Mix well.
  • Spoon the hash brown mixture into 4 mini-bread loaf pans. If not non-stick, coat with non-stick spray first.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Split each cheese slice in half. Remove the loaf pans from the oven and place 4 cheese halves on top of each pan. Return to oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  • Serve hot.
