Homemade Buffalo Sauce

Making homemade buffalo sauce from scratch is easy! Choose your spice level - great for buffalo wings, chicken dips, and any favorite party recipe.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter 2 sticks
  • 1.5 cups hot pepper sauce
  • 3 tablespoons white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon celery salt
  • ½ teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon ground black or ground white pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. When the butter has melted, add the remaining ingredients. Whisk well to combine.
  • Bring to a simmer while whisking and turn off just before boiling.
  • Cool before serving.

I prefer using white pepper for color reasons. Either type of ground pepper can be used.
