Calling all backyard-bartenders – this recipe is for you!
My favorite parties are parties with punch. If I’m the host, you’d better believe that there is a big batch cocktail on the menu.
If you are like me and want to spend time socializing instead of mixing up drinks for your friends, you’ve come to the right place.
I have made summer cocktails (helloooo blackberry kiwi mojito) and many punch recipes in the past but this cucumber watermelon punch is my new summer favorite.

Next comes the elderflower liqueur. I love adding this to cocktails and punches. When your guests take their first sip of punch, they don’t expect to smell flowers so it’s a big floral surprise. I love surprises.
After I have added the alcohol components to my pitcher, it is time for the watermelon. I bought a bottle of watermelon puree in the mixers section but you could easily make your own with a blender or food processor and a mesh strainer.
Watermelon puree is very sweet, so our final ingredient is soda water. Most of the time I make punches with lemon-lime soda, but there is plenty of sweetness and sugar in the watermelon puree.
Stir it all up, and you’re ready to serve. I make large ice cubes in silicone ice trays for punch – they take a lot longer to melt. This is *super* helpful in the summer.
Garnish with cucumber slices – pink and green together look smashing! No, I’m not British; I’m just excited about having a glass of cucumber watermelon punch.
